1P 030 - Mosby's Raiders
Saturday Jan 05, 2013
Saturday Jan 05, 2013
Welcome to the 1st episode of 2013. This show I look at the game Mosby's Raiders published by Victory Games. The game is about John Mosby and his Partisan Raiders. They waged guerrilla warfare against the North during the American Civil War. This episode I also look at my "ideal solitaire game" by picking the various attributes I think I like in a game. The episode is a bit short. It might have been longer if it wasn't for the power going out while recording. I finished in the dark.

Sunday Dec 23, 2012
For the last episode of the year, I talk about Yahtzee-like games and specifically the Catan Dice Game. Based on the simplicity of this game, it is probably the shortest review yet. Also, yet another contest.. this one is even smaller and more complicated than the last! Happy Holidays!

In otherwords, this game has A LOT of information that is unknown to the player until he encounters it. I also briefly talk about preparing to play a big solo game.

1P 025 - Last Frontier: The Vesuvius Incident
Wednesday Sep 26, 2012
Wednesday Sep 26, 2012
In this latest episode, I review Last Frontier: The Vesuvius Incident. This is a neat game about sending space marines into a ship invested with hostile aliens. Unfortunately, the ship is falling into a planets atmosphere. Your time is limited. The goal is to get into the ship and save as many crew as possible, or at least account for the dead crew. It's a bit gruesome but fun. The game is currently on KS, if it sounds interesting check it out before the campaign ends. I also resolve the Pocast Contest #2 Last Fronter: The Vesuvius Incident on Board Game Geek and on Kickstarter.

Thursday Apr 26, 2012
Episode 17 is now up. It features another review about a firefighting game (hopefully not my last). In this one, I talk about Smokejumpers. 1P 016 - Raider 16-Atlantis
Monday Apr 09, 2012
Monday Apr 09, 2012
This is the (first) Print and Play episode. Hopefully, I'll have many more of these as I have a few other PnP games I'd like to look at. In this episode, I first talk with Crhis Hansen of the Solitaire Print and Play Design Contest being hosted on BGG. Chris talks about last years contest and winners and also about how to be involved in this years contest. There is also some talk about print and play games, in general. After that interview, I look at Raider 16-Atlantis, which was a winner from last year's contest. I talk about my experiences with putting together and then playing the game. Raider 16 - Atlantis on BGG. The files for the game are listed in this discussion. The current monthly geeklist on print and play crafting. The Print and Play guild on BGG. It's origins are based on the Print and Play podcast which has unfortunately been inactive for about a year. However, there is lots of great information on this guild and all the old episodes of that show are still available. This geeklist has lots of free PnP games to try out. Reviews by Chris, of games from last year's contest. And finally... The discussion thread for this year's contest.
